The Problem

A leading European rare-disease clinical database relied on a Python API that had to be maintained and evolved without compromising code that needed to stay reliable for the long term.

The Approach

I took over the project to build new features, fix bugs, and refactor the existing code, leaving it more readable and easier to maintain for whoever came next.

The Outcome

The API kept growing on top of a healthier, more maintainable codebase.
