MonteCarreras, a trail-running race calendar for Asturias
The Problem
Trail runners in Asturias had no single place to find upcoming races: details like dates, distances, elevation gain, time cutoffs, registration, results and photo galleries were scattered across each organizer's own site and social media.
The Approach
Backend built with FastAPI and PostgreSQL, with role-based access control, soft-delete and audit logging.
An admin panel to manage races, distances and users.
A Nuxt 4 frontend with server-side rendering and structured data for search engines.
Elevation profiles generated from GPX files uploaded by the admin.
The Outcome
Live in production at montecarreras.com, indexed by search engines, with an active race catalogue, powerful search filters, verified and accurate information, and a historical archive of past races.
Optimized for both desktop and mobile devices of all sizes.
